#TheCourtOrder | Workforce Development & Community Engagement
Patting myself on the back :)
As a Social Impact Specialist for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority [Reagan National Airport & Dulles International Airport], I wear quite a few hats. I produce and publish the Impact Report, lead the ESG strategy and goal setting for the organization, and recommend, develop, and employ measurement systems and tools to benchmark and track our progression in ESG commitments. [whew]
I also get to work in community building and outreach - efforts that are near and dear to my heart. This month, I led the Dulles International Airport’s First Workforce Development Expo! This event was a day of career exploration for 150 Loudoun County high school students, Administrators from Fairfax County Public Schools and Prince William County Public Schools.
The Expo was an incredible opportunity for students to make connections with professionals in the aviation industry, explore career opportunities, and discover the inner workings of the Dulles International Airport. It was also an awesome opportunity to work with the amazing teams at the Airport - Public Safety, Airport Operations, Structures and Trades, Apprenticeship Programming, Professional Development Programming, and Airport Leadership. Because of my work in making this event come to life, I received a “Made A Difference” award from my Vice President. #Hallelujah
